The place

El Monofy Dome is one of the historic domed monuments documented by the Heritage Egypt team with photogrammetry: an accurate 3D model built from hundreds of overlapping photographs, so the monument can be studied, measured and visited from anywhere.

This experience

Switch between three independent reconstructions of the dome — Metashape, RealityScan and RealityScan HD — to compare them, and scale the model from a tabletop miniature up to full size. On a computer, click the scene and use WASD and the mouse; it also runs in VR on Meta Quest and Apple Vision Pro.
